Those aren't negatives, they are 'things you have to do to be in business'

A real negative would be: having to go after deadbeat clients.

Here is my list of potential pitfalls:

1. The 'E-Myth Revisted' pitfall - essentially going from being the 'technician' to the 'entrepreneur.' This is the big one. You have to have a different mindset if you start out being the guy who bakes the pies, and then becomes the guy who owns the pie baking business.

2. Not understanding the best kind of marketing for your business - inbound vs outbound in general. Some businesses can rely on Facebook ads, some on email marketing, some on networking etc etc. You need to find out what works the best in your niche, then learn the best practices.

3. Having a 'this is what I do' focus instead of a 'what are your biggest problems' focus.

4. Not understanding your limitations. Who you are vs who you need to be to be successful. Learning to bring him experts to help you make up for your weaknesses.
